Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
I am living and working full-time in Denver, Colorado. My work space is in the south broadway area. Near Broadway and Evans.
What are your shop hours?
I do not hold business hours, all tattooing is done by appointment only.
do you take walk-ins?
No, we do not.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes! All tattooing is done by appointment only. You can fill out a contact form via this website or email us directly at briangeckleart@gmail.com about scheduling!
Can you call me to chat about my design ideas?
Once Brian begins creating your design, if he needs to discuss design elements and details he will give you a call directly to discuss it.
When can I see my design?
Brian works on each project in the order that they are scheduled so he typically does not begin drawing your design until a few days before you're to be tattooed. You will get to see your design the day of your appointment.
How far out are you booked?
Wait times for scheduling typically vary anywhere between a couple of weeks to a couple of months. We only schedule Brian out up to three months at a time so that we don't get too ahead of ourselves and Brian can keep his schedule flexible.
I live in a different state, how can I get tattooed by you?
Brian loves to travel! And does so often. Be sure to follow him on Instagram at @briangeckleart and on Facebook at Flower of Life Studios for any travel announcements and email us if he's coming to a city near you!
Can you give me a cost estimate?
Unfortunately, not really. Brians day rate is $1500. A day is considered 6+ hours of tattooing. He takes a $200 non-refundable security deposit to book an appointment. Your security deposit goes toward the sessions total cost, or can be rolled over to hold your next session. Once you book an appointment and put down your deposit, we will set you up with a consultation appointment with Brian to discuss your ideas and expectations for your tattoo design. At your consultation is the ideal time to ask about time/cost estimates.
Can you tattoo a quote on me?
No, sorry! Brian does not take on any writing/script/lettering/words-or-numbers-of-any-kind tattoos.
What kind of tattoos do you prefer doing?
Brian really enjoys tattooing all different types of designs. Typically he tries to take on larger scale/multi-session projects with serious clients and always loves mandalas, dot work, and bio-mechanical/bio-organic projects.
Do tattoos hurt?
Yes, they all hurt. Pain tolerance varies from person to person and some body parts are more painful than others but it is similar to a brush burn.
Are tattoos safe?
Although we can only speak for our own studio, at Flower of Life Studios your health and safety is our number one priority. Brian uses new needles for each and every client and adheres to strict procedures to avoid cross contamination. You will also see that Brian will use disposable everything - razors, ink caps, sheets, and barriers on anything that will be touched. Feel free to email us with any other questions or concerns regarding safety.
